Andrew Snell was the happiest man in Sault Ste. Marie as he was promoted to yellow belt on Wednesday December 11th by Master Frank Woon-A-Tai, Grand Master of the International Karate Daigaku (IKD) and Sensei Chris Troch, head instructor of the Sault Ste. Marie IKD.

Congratulations Andrew! Keep up the good work.

Road to Winter Paralympic Games Sochia Russia

MAC AND BJ MEDALS PHOTO MARCH 24 2013On October 26, 2013, a Halloween Costume Ball was held at the Bush Plane Museum in honour of Mac & BJ Marcoux’s Road to the Winter Paralympic Games in Sochia Russia. It was a great to see so many people of all ages out to support the boys and their family in this endeavour.

Mac and BJ became official members of the National team making Mac the youngest member of the team on the IPC World Cup Circuit. They have earned a silver and two bronze medals and on August 27 2013, won a gold medal in the Super G Event in Mt. Hutt, New Zealand.

Both Mac and BJ are honour roll students. Mac was nominated for the Broughton Trophy in June, 2013 and served as Chair for the Ride for Sight for the Foundation Fighting Bilndness for the past two years. The boys are committed to giving back to the community

They live by the motto: Work Hard, Ski Fast, Be Humble.
